The Week in Flux - 01/07

New Year, Same Great FLUX taste!

Hel Mary's new video Saturn's Throne premiered recently at Artist Home. Tony Kays says, "'Saturn’s Throne' marks a subtle but significant departure from Hel Mary’s signature sound. It’s a prime example of a band’s risk-taking being rewarded in a big way. For the single, Angerman wraps that singular croon around a dance-music thump driven by Peter Cameron’s euro-disco drums and Patrick Galactic’s galloping bass. Hel Mary’s usual shimmering acoustic and weeping electric slide guitar are bum-rushed by Tim Basaraba’s scraping, snarling post-punk hooks. Read the full premier and watch the video below.

The Spider Ferns had to pull out of their appearance in Oakland for Be/Here on January 31st due to a family emergency. Fortunately Lo Flux bestie Sophia x Prize will be filling their spot! The Lo Flux fam will be represented well by Ms. Prize, Terabyte, and our good friends Golden Gardens. More info
