Show Preview: Nadafest

Our colleagues at NadaMucho.com have been documenting the Seattle music evolution since 1997. In 2015, they published a list of bands called #41for2015 that highlighted 41 artists across the I-5 corridor who inspired the editors and contributors.

Later that year, NadaMucho EIC Matt Ashworth and longtime contributor/raconteur Tim Basaraba AKA TBASA took things a step further and created a 3-day festival, dubbed Nadafest that exclusively featured bands from the #41for2015 list.

The tradition has carried on and, for the first time, Nadafest will take place at The Skylark in West Seattle this Friday and Saturday. Now in it's fifth incarnation, it has been shaved from three days to two. Each night features a carefully curated selection of bands both diverse and complimentary. While we'll miss the 2-stage alternating setup,

Night 1, Friday, October 18th features deadpan electro-punk headliners Downtown, indie rock faves Golden Idols, psych drone progenitors Shitty Person, noise pop quartet Double or Muffin, the political fire of Levi Fuller and the Library and, kicking it off, the godfather of Nadafest, TBASA. More Info

Night 2, Saturday, October 19th is a banger but one with more contemplative flourishes. Headlined by alterna-pop powerhouse Antonioni, Day 2 also features psych rockers Temple Canyon, gospel punks Garden Chat, synth psych sextet Forest Ray, ethereal witch rockers Hel Mary, and political folk firebrand Aaron Semer. More info

Music starts at 7pm each night. Door fee is $10.
